"I am a third culture, cookies-and-cream-loving photographer by profession. I read comics and my rendition of Stairway to Heaven on air guitar has been known to make girls swoon. I’d like to think myself as a “light stealer” (Einstein’s term for photographers), but I’ll leave that up to you to decide.”
Pictures featured, top to bottom:
1.) Pimp my rickshaw.
2.) The daily driver.
3.) The rickshaw driver was nice enough to let me drive his rickshaw when I noticed the mileage. I just had to record it.
4.) I was hunting for a 120mm film camera in Saddar when I noticed him at the corner selling ‘makai’. I brought some delicious bhuttay ke daane and asked him if I could take a picture. He responded by saying, “It’s a sin,” and then added, “We are all sinners; go ahead.” So I took a quick photo. The rickshaw with the crescent moon and star was happenstance and made the perfect backdrop for the photo.
5.) Taken on Shorkot Road on a train on my way to Lahore.
